While my definition of the term “worded” may not be familiar to you, it simply means that you should be filled with the knowledge of His word.
Do you want to know who you should marry as a Christian brother or sister and who you should never marry?
How does it apply?
Your knowledge and understanding of God’s word form a basis for your mindset, doctrine, school of thought, or philosophy in life.
There are many things knowing God’s word would help you solve without prayer because you do not need to pray about what has been clearly revealed in the word.
For instance, why would you marry an unbeliever or become emotional about your decision when you’re in that situation? Who is an unbeliever?
Why should you be disturbed because he wants premarital sex from you if you know what the word said about it? Will you bulge an inch if she decides to leave you because you say no sex until marriage? All these answers would be provided to you when you are filled with the knowledge of His word.
Many Christians are lazy when studying God’s word, but they can stay awake all night browsing or chatting with their phones. No wonder, they easily fall into temptation because they’re not well-rooted in the word to overcome the tempter when he comes tempting.
One of the reasons you should be worded is for you to build up by the word. First, understand that the truth about major issues of life is not in the world but in God’s word. It is only when you search the scripture that you can discover the truth yourself.
As good as listening to sermons are, if you don’t know the word yourself, you’d easily be tossed to and fro by every weight of doctrine whose intent is to deceive you.
Don’t be among the lazy Christians who swallow, hook, line, and sinker everything their pastor says, without verifying if it’s true or not like the Berean believers.
Do you know that you can’t be the right person in marriage if you’re not built up by the word?
There’s power in God’s word and one of the powers inherent in it is the transformation power. The word of God is capable of transforming your mindset inside out, regardless of how bad your mentality or perception of life might have been.
The word works wonders. It is one of the weapons of spiritual warfare that you can use to cast down those imaginations and the high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God in your life.
What do you know that has been written concerning your life and situation in the word that would bail you out in the midst of your crisis? Jesus told the Devil, Get you behind Me for it is written…
If there are negative words that have been uttered against you, fear not; God’s word is able to deliver you from its torment provided you know where to find the right word that would bail you out of the negative utterance.
Be a worded Christian.
Going to church without having a personal Bible study does not make you rooted in His Word. Do you even know that if you attend Bible study in your church, as good as it is, but you don’t study the Bible yourself, there’s a little transformation that your life would experience?
Don’t allow God’s word to depart from your mouth in declaration and contemplation.
As contained in the scripture, the word of Christ cannot richly dwell in you if you do not create quality time with it during meditation. How can you grow up spiritually without having a word life? How can you bring forth your strong reasons in prayer if you don’t know the word?
Practice daily meditation on His Word, and not yoga meditation. It is not enough to read daily devotionals, create time to devote yourself to the reading of God’s word.
The Bible is not boring. It’s only boring to you because you delight in something else other than it. Bible mediation is sweet when your delight is in God’s word.
Do you know you can meditate on John 3:16 for more than a week, and the Holy Spirit would be opening your eyes to the deeper mystery enshrined in that scripture?
You speak to God when you pray, but He speaks back to you as you study His word. If God would guide you on who to marry, He can also use the written word to speak to you. Do not forget that God’s spoken word will never contradict His written word because He is not an author of confusion.
Issues like not having a boyfriend or girlfriend, having a baby mama or daddy, dating a married person or not, and the likes would be addressed when you’re grounded in the truth of His word.
Be rooted and grounded in His word because through it, you shall have good success and make your way prosperous in life, only if you observe to do according to all that’s written therein.
